Events
Five holiday events come round every year. While one runs, raiders fly its colours, the island gets its effects, and sunk ships drop tokens you spend on the event's looks. Looks you get from an event are yours to wear all year.
When events run

Dates follow your device's local time. Odd Omens can move or extend an event for a year, so the in-game dates are the ones to go by.
A button at the top right shows the running event, with your tokens and the time left. When no event is running, it appears once the next one is less than a week away. Tap it to open Events.
Collecting tokens
- Regular ships sometimes drop a token when they sink. Bosses always drop several.
- Tap tokens in the water to collect them. The Treasure Parrot fetches them too.
Free reward track
Tokens you collect fill the event's free reward track. Spending tokens doesn't take you back down it.

The event shop
The Events screen lists everything you can unlock. While the event runs, you can buy:

Anything you buy is worn straight away. Change it any time in Customization.
The holiday cannonball
While an event runs, cannons set to the Classic cannonball fire the event's ball instead. Sink 200 ships during the event to keep that ball for good. The Events screen shows how many you've sunk so far.
Holiday bundles
Each event has an optional bundle that unlocks all of its looks, including the cannonball, at once. Bundles are sold in the Shop all year, and on the Events screen.
Bonus weekends and news
Odd Omens sometimes runs a bonus weekend. While it runs, every player's gold is multiplied, for example doubled. A banner announces it once, and the gold counter shows the multiplier. It stacks with Double Plunder.
News from Odd Omens shows as a banner a few seconds after the game opens. Each message is shown once.
The Omens
Very rarely, Odd Omens runs the Omens. While it runs, an all-black ship may rise out of the mist to watch your castle. It steals nothing, and slips away after a minute unless you sink it. Sinking it is worth the effort.
