Privacy & Data

Pacts doesn't have accounts, ads or analytics. Your pacts, goals, protocols and entries are stored on your iPhone and synced through your own iCloud account. Odd Omens doesn't receive them.

iCloud sync

Pacts syncs automatically through Apple's CloudKit when your iPhone is signed in to iCloud. There's nothing to turn on, and no Odd Omens account. Your data lives in your private iCloud database, which only your Apple Account can access. Changes you make on one device, including deletions, sync to your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

If you aren't signed in to iCloud, Pacts works the same way and keeps everything on your iPhone.

Export your data

Pacts doesn't have an export feature. Your data is kept in your iCloud account while sync is on.

Delete your data

You can delete items one at a time:

  • A pact and all of its entries: open the pact, tap ... > Delete Pact.
  • A single entry: open it from a pact's log and choose Delete Entry.
  • A goal: open it and tap ... > Delete Goal.
  • A protocol: tap ... on its card > Delete Protocol.

To delete everything at once:

  1. Go to More > Settings.
  2. Tap Clear All Data, then Clear All Data again to confirm.

This deletes all pacts, goals, protocols and entries. If iCloud sync is on, they're also deleted from iCloud and your other devices. It can't be undone. Your preferences, milestones and XP stay on the device.

Deleting the Pacts app removes everything stored on your iPhone, including preferences and milestones. Data in iCloud stays there. To remove it, go to the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud, and manage your iCloud storage for Pacts.
