Getting Started
Sacred Wiki runs in your browser. You don't need an account, and nothing needs to be installed.
Open the site
- Go to sacred.wiki.
- The home page shows how many people, locations, items and events the site covers.
- Choose Start Exploring to open the timeline, or Browse Wiki to open the encyclopedia.
Find your way around
The header at the top of every page has these sections:
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Timeline | Every event in date order. See Timeline. |
| Wiki | Articles on people, locations and items. See Wiki. |
| Lineage | The family tree. See Lineage. |
| Map | Locations on a map. See Map. |
| Bible | The Bible reader. See Bible. |
| About | What the site is for, plus links to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. |
| Support | A page where you can donate to keep the site running. |
Select the Sacred Wiki name in the top-left corner to go back to the home page.
On a phone, the sections are in the menu behind the button in the top-right corner.
Everything links together
Every page links to the rest of the site:
- Names in an article open that person's, place's or item's article.
- An article lists the timeline events it's part of. Select one to jump to it on the timeline.
- Events on the timeline link to the people, places and items involved.
- People in the family tree and markers on the map open the matching article.
Article and event pages have their own web addresses, so you can bookmark them or share the link.
Light and dark theme
Sacred Wiki opens in a dark theme. Select the sun or moon button in the header to switch between dark and light. Your browser remembers the choice for your next visit.
