About Odd Omens
Odd Omens is a one-person software studio founded by Kadyn Wishcop in 2023. It exists to build the kinds of tools Kadyn wanted to use himself, with user respect ahead of everything else. There's no venture capital and no growth hacking, just privacy-focused software built with care.
How we work
No subscription fatigue. Our core software is free. Essential tools shouldn't need a monthly payment, a paywall or hidden fees.
Verifiable privacy. Wherever we can, we publish source code on GitHub so anyone can inspect, audit or build the apps themselves. Each product's documentation includes a privacy section that explains exactly what's stored and where.
User-funded. With no investors, there's no pressure to sell out, track people or cut corners. Odd Omens is supported entirely by voluntary contributions from people who believe in the mission.
Our products
We make native Apple apps, local-first desktop apps, free web apps and self-hosted software. See All Products for the full list and documentation.
