History & Analytics
Distant records every session you start. History lists them one by one. Analytics turns them into totals, charts and patterns. Both are in the menu on the main screen.
History
Tap the menu, then History.
The top of the screen shows Total Time, Sessions and Deep Focus counts. Below that are filter chips: All, plus one chip for each focus type you've used. Tap a chip to show only that type.
Each row shows the focus type, date, how long you focused, and whether the session was completed or ended early.
View a session
Tap a session to open Session Details. It shows:
- The focus type, and a DEEP FOCUS badge if it qualified
- How long you focused and whether it was Completed Successfully or Ended Early
- FOCUS QUALITY: your star rating
- SESSION NOTES
- SESSION DETAILS: date, start time, end time, planned duration, actual duration, completion rate, status and mode
Edit a session
Swipe left on a session and tap Edit, or tap the pencil in Session Details. You can change:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| FOCUS TYPE | Any built-in or custom type |
| DURATION (MINUTES) | 1 to 240 minutes. Sessions of 60 minutes or more are marked Deep Focus. |
| START TIME | Date and time |
| FOCUS RATING | One to five stars |
| SESSION NOTES | Free text |
Tap Save Changes. Editing a session updates your history, analytics and achievements. It doesn't change the XP you already earned.
Add a session manually
If you focused without starting a timer, you can log it:
- In History, tap +.
- Set the Session Date, the Duration (5 to 240 minutes, in 5-minute steps), the Focus Type, and optional Notes.
- Tap Add.
Manually added sessions count as completed and appear in analytics and achievements. They don't earn XP.
Delete a session
Swipe left on a session and tap Delete. The session is removed right away, without a confirmation. Deleting a session doesn't remove XP you earned from it, but it can re-lock achievements that depended on it.
Analytics
Tap the menu, then Analytics. If you don't see it, turn on Show Analytics in Customization.
Choose a time range at the top: Week, Month, Year or All Time. Week, Month and Year cover the current calendar week, month or year.

Achievements, level-ups, streaks, XP bonuses and daily goal messages appear as banners at the top of the screen. Distant also keeps them in a list. Tap the menu, then Notifications. Filter by All, Today, Yesterday, This Week or Older. The red badge on the menu shows how many are unread.
To empty the list, use Clear All Notifications in Settings.
