Notifications
Pacts can remind you to check in, warn you when a streak is at risk, and tell you when a pact is about to end. All notifications are scheduled on your iPhone. They're off until you turn them on.
Turn notifications on
You can turn them on in either place:
- During setup, tap the Reminders card on the Set up your experience screen.
- Go to More > Customization > Notifications and turn on Push Notifications.
iOS asks for permission the first time. If you've already denied it, turning on Push Notifications opens the iOS Settings app, where you can allow notifications for Pacts.
Turning Push Notifications off cancels every scheduled notification.
What Pacts sends
Notifications are scheduled for each active pact that isn't paused.
| Notification | When | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Check-in reminder | Every day at the pact's check-in time (8:00 PM unless you change it), until the pact ends. The title is the pact's name. Once you have a streak, it says which day you're on. | Check In marks the pact done for today. Snooze 1 Hour reminds you again in an hour. |
| Streak at risk | Every day at 9:00 AM, for pacts with a current streak of 3 days or more. It names the pact and the streak length. | Snooze 1 Hour |
| Ending soon | 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before a pact's end date. | Tap to open Pacts. |
To change a pact's check-in time, edit the pact and set the time under Check-in Schedule. See Edit a pact.
Pacts reschedules notifications each time it starts and whenever you add or delete a pact. Other changes, like a new check-in time or pausing a pact, take effect the next time Pacts starts.
Notifications aren't arriving
