Settings

Click Settings at the bottom of the sidebar. Changes apply immediately and save automatically. While you're in Appearance, Grid or Cards, a Live Card Preview on the right shows how a card will look.

Appearance

Grid

You can also switch between grid and masonry with the buttons on the right of the toolbar.

Cards

Metadata Alignment sets where the name and details appear on each card:

• Standard (Below) shows them under the thumbnail.
• Hover Overlay slides them up over the thumbnail when you hover.
• Hidden shows thumbnails only.

Toggles:

Advanced

Item	What it does
Thumbnail Cache > Clear Cache	Deletes every thumbnail Beaver has made, then rescans all linked folders to make new ones. Use it if thumbnails look wrong or out of date. Your tags, ratings and notes are kept.
Database Maintenance > Optimize DB	Compacts Beaver's library database. This can help after removing a lot of assets.
System Environment	Shows the app version, platform and where the library database is stored.
