Subscriptions
Use subscriptions to see what your recurring charges cost each month and each year. Open a Personal or Business wallet and tap the Subscriptions card.
TIP
Subscriptions are a separate tracker. They don't create expenses and don't change your wallet balances. If you want a charge to count as spending, add it as an expense too, or use Replicate to add it for several months at once.
The subscription list
The header reads, for example, "You have 4 active subscriptions costing $42.00/mo and $629.00/yr."
- Monthly cost is the sum of your monthly subscriptions.
- Yearly cost is your monthly subscriptions × 12, plus your yearly subscriptions.
Tap the info button in the toolbar for a short explanation of these totals. Subscriptions are listed by name under Active Subscriptions and Inactive Subscriptions.
Add a subscription
- Tap +.
- Enter the Merchant (for example "Netflix") and Subscription Name (for example "Standard plan").
- Enter the Price per billing period.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly under Subscription Type.
- Tap the Renewal Date to set the next charge date.
- Leave Active on if you're still paying for it.
- Tap + in the top right.
Edit, deactivate or delete
Tap a subscription to edit it. Long-press it for more actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Edit | Opens the subscription for editing. |
| Deactivate / Activate | Moves it between the active and inactive lists. |
| Delete | Deletes it immediately, with no confirmation. |
Deactivate a subscription you've canceled if you want to keep a record of it.
Renewal reminders
When you save a subscription, Fen schedules a notification for its Renewal Date. The reminder fires once, on that date.
Fen doesn't move the renewal date forward on its own. After a subscription renews, edit it and set the next Renewal Date to get the next reminder.
To turn reminders off, see Notifications.
