Grit Designer
My image is pixelated but not dithered
Dithering and palettes only apply when COLOR CONTROLS is turned on. Tick the checkbox in its title, then pick a COLOR PALETTE.
The preview is slow
Increase PIXEL BLOCK SIZE, turn off sections you aren't using with their checkboxes, or use a smaller image. Large images and videos with many effects take more work to render.
I chose GIF but got a WebM video
GIF export isn't available in the web version. Choosing GIF Loop records a WebM video instead.
I chose MP4 but got a WebM video
Your browser can't record MP4 from the canvas, so Grit Designer records WebM. Try a current version of Chrome, Edge or Safari for MP4.
The video export takes as long as the video
Videos are recorded in real time. A 30-second clip takes about 30 seconds to export. Keep the tab open and visible until the download starts.
My exported video has no sound
Exports are video only. Grit Designer doesn't include audio.
My presets and palettes are gone
They're stored in your browser. Clearing site data, using a private window or switching browsers means they won't be there. Use Export All Presets to keep a backup, and Import Presets to restore it.
A palette file I dragged in didn't load
Drag palette files onto Upload Source Content before you load an image. Grit Designer accepts .gpl and .hex files, and PNGs with "palette" in the file name. A PNG without "palette" in its name opens as an image instead.
Micro Designer
My export has faint lines or a blue dot on it
The alignment guides and the selected-element marker are part of the board. Turn off Alignment Guides under Canvas and click an empty part of the board, then export again.
I cleared the board by mistake
Micro Designer has no undo, and Clear Canvas Board doesn't ask first. The design can't be recovered.
I can't select an element
It may be locked. Open the Layers tab, hover over the layer and click the lock to unlock it.
Stamp Designer
My fonts look different on another computer
Stamp Designer uses fonts installed on your computer. If a font isn't installed, your browser uses a similar one. Export a PNG to keep the look you see.
My stamp is gone after reloading
Stamp Designer doesn't save automatically. Use Save Project before you leave, and Load to open it again.
Editing one stamp changes them all
Sync Design Across Cells is on. Turn it off in the Cell tab to edit stamps separately.
Sticker Mockup
The 3D preview doesn't appear
Sticker Mockup needs WebGL. Make sure hardware acceleration is turned on in your browser. The preview also downloads a lighting file when it first loads, so a content blocker or lost connection can stop it from showing.
The border looks like a rectangle
Your image has a solid background. Use a PNG with a transparent background, or an SVG, so the border follows the shape of your design.
How do I save the mockup?
There's no export button. Take a screenshot of the preview.
