The game won't start
"SALVO needs WebGL, which your browser has turned off or doesn't support." or "SALVO couldn't start 3D graphics on this device."
Salvo needs WebGL 2 and hardware acceleration.
- Turn on hardware acceleration. In Chrome or Edge, go to Settings > System and turn on Use graphics acceleration when available. In Firefox, go to Settings > General > Performance.
- Restart the browser.
- If it still doesn't work, try a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
"SALVO needs JavaScript and WebGL to run." Turn on JavaScript for salvo.oddomens.com.
"Something went wrong while starting the game." Refresh the page.
The game stutters or runs slowly
- Lower Quality in Settings > Video. Potato is for computers without a graphics card.
- Keep Frame rate limit at 30 FPS, the default.
- Plug in your laptop. With Power saver on Auto, Salvo caps the frame rate at 30 on battery.
- Close other heavy tabs and apps.
If Salvo sees that your browser is drawing the game on the processor instead of the graphics card, it shows "Your graphics card isn't being used." and switches to Potato. Turn on hardware acceleration as described above, then restart the browser.

My mouse doesn't aim
Click inside the game. Salvo needs your browser to lock the mouse pointer to the game, and shows Click to play until it does. Press Esc to release the pointer.
"SALVO was updated — reloading…"
A new version of Salvo is out. The page reloads on its own and puts you back in the same room if you rejoin within 3 minutes. If you see "SALVO was updated. Refresh the page to get the new version.", choose Refresh.
I got disconnected
If your connection drops, Salvo shows "Reconnecting…" and tries up to 8 times. If it can't reconnect, choose Back to menu and join again.
Nothing you earned is lost. Kills, assists and medals are credited as they happen. If you rejoin the same match, your score comes back.
If a server is about to restart, a banner counts down and says "Your progress is saved."
I can't join a room

I didn't get XP for a match
- Only official (ranked) servers save XP and progress. Community servers say "Unranked server — XP and progress are not saved here." at the end of a match.
- The Firing Range never counts.
- Matches shorter than 20 seconds don't count.
- If an admin changed a match by hand, nobody's progress counts, and everyone in the room is told.
- Zombies XP counts toward your Zombies level, not your multiplayer rank.
My settings are different on another computer
Most settings follow your account. Quality, Frame rate limit, Power saver and On-screen controls are saved per device, so set them on each one. See Settings & Performance.
I forgot my password
Salvo doesn't collect email addresses, so it can't send a reset link. If you can't sign in, email support@oddomens.com.
"Too many failed attempts"
Wait for the time shown, then try again. Each further wrong password makes the wait longer. See Accounts.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Salvo has touch controls on phones and tablets, and works with a controller too. Turn your phone sideways: Salvo only plays in landscape. See Controls.
Does Salvo cost anything?
No. Salvo is free, with no purchases and no ads.
How do I report a cheater?
Click their name in the lobby or the in-match Players tab and choose Report…, or type /report <name> <reason> in chat. See Chat, Social & Rules.
