DistantRelease 2026.10.1

XP & Levels

Every session earns experience points (XP) for the focus type you chose. XP raises that type's level and adds to an overall total.

How XP works

You earn 1 XP for each full minute of a session. This applies whether you complete the session or end it early, and overtime counts too. Sessions you add by hand in History don't earn XP.

Bonuses

Bonuses multiply together when more than one applies.

BonusExtra XPWhen it applies
Deep Focus+25%The session's planned length meets your Deep Focus threshold (60 minutes by default), or it's an Infinite Focus session
First of the Day+20%Your first session of the day
Streak Bonus+10%You've focused at least three days in a row
Daily Goal+15%You already reached today's daily goal of 60 minutes before this session

For example, a 60-minute Deep Focus session that's also your first of the day earns 60 × 1.25 × 1.2 = 90 XP. When a bonus applies, a Bonus XP! banner shows the extra XP and which bonuses you got.

Daily goal and streak

The daily goal is 60 minutes of focus in a day. It resets at midnight. When you reach it, you'll see Daily Goal Complete!, and later sessions that day get the Daily Goal bonus.

Your streak counts the days in a row with at least one session. Missing a day resets it to one.

Focus type levels

Each focus type levels up on its own. XP in Reading doesn't count toward Coding.

The Nature, Zen and Gaming styles don't have overall titles. The Levels screen shows your total XP instead.

The Levels screen

Tap the menu, then Levels & Progress. If you don't see it, turn on Show Levels & Progress in Customization.

The top of the screen shows your overall title, Total XP, the XP you need for the next title, and your Total Hours, Sessions and Types Used.

Below that, every focus type is listed under PRESETS or CUSTOM with its level, time focused, XP, XP to the next level, and a progress bar.

Tap the info button (top right) to see Level Requirements: every overall title and focus type level, the XP and hours each needs, and how far you are from each.

Reset XP and levels

To start over, use Clear Levels & Progress in Settings. It resets your XP, levels, streak and daily goal progress. Your session history stays.
