The site shows "Loading..." or an error instead of the home page

Sacred Wiki loads all of its articles and events when it first opens. If that fails, it shows an error message instead of the site. Check your connection and reload the page.

A Bible translation takes a long time to appear

Each translation is a single download of several megabytes. On a slow connection it can take a while, and the reader shows Loading Scripture... until it's done. Once it has loaded, changing book or chapter is instant. See Bible.

Parts of the map are blank

Map tiles come from an outside service as you pan and zoom. If they don't appear, wait a moment or check your connection. Content blockers that block cartocdn.com also stop the tiles from loading.

Why can't I find an event in the Wiki search?

Wiki search covers people, locations and items. Events live on the Timeline. Open an article to see its events under Timeline Events.

Search isn't finding a person I know is there

Search only looks in the tab that's selected. Choose All, then search again. Search also matches other names, so "Saul of Tarsus" finds Paul.

The Bible reader went back to Genesis

The reader doesn't remember your place between visits. It also returns to the first book when you switch to a translation that names a book differently.

Is there an app?

No. Sacred Wiki is a website. It works in desktop and mobile browsers.

Can I suggest a correction or new content?

Sacred Wiki has no editing or account features. Email support@oddomens.com with the article and the change you'd suggest.
